Emergency Income Payment for Remote and Impacted Workers

The Emergency Income Payment for Remote and Impacted Workers is a one-time $500 payment for Islanders who work remotely for a business that is not located in Prince Edward Island and had an income loss of $500 or more caused by the hurricane.

This emergency payment is also for workers who were unable to work because of caregiving responsibilities for children 12 years of age or under that were impacted by childcare and/or school closures and had an income loss of $500 or more.

Once you have the Remote Worker Confirmation or Childcare Closure Confirmation form signed by your employer, please complete the application, upload required documentation and select the Apply Now button below.

What is the timeline for payment?

To avoid delays, please ensure the Remote Worker Confirmation or Childcare Closure Confirmation form is complete and signed by your employer and that your banking information is accurate.  Deposit timeline will vary dependent on your financial institution.

When is the deadline for applications?

Applications will be accepted until November 30, 2022.
