New funding for Island businesses to support employees working from home

Funding is available for Island businesses and non-profit organizations to help support innovative and smart ways for employees to work efficiently from home.

The Telework Adaptation Fund offers up to $2,500 to eligible businesses and organizations to help ensure their employees have what they need to work from home at least two or three days a week.  The funding can be used for things such as developing a remote work plan, buying office equipment, or subscribing to online business platforms.

“Encouraging remote work is another step forward in our collective efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation and revitalize our communities. We see the benefits of flexible work arrangements for Islanders, and we want to help employers to be flexible, support their employees and adapt to new ways of doing things as we move forward.”

– Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy Minister Steven Myers

The fund is open and accepting applications until October 30.
